Theater Festival and the Hay Bosco Poetic, 3-5 August 2018

Dear friends, the farm Bosco Pianetti (Formerly Farm Pianetti) and Narrative Studies Center Invisible Cities give you news of an artistic initiative that is unprecedented in Sicily:

The Theater Festival Hay and Poetic Bosco, 3 to 5 August 2018 held literary farm Bosco Pianetti (Former farmhouse Fattoria Pianetti), Gibilmanna (PA), in the natural park of Madonie.

A grain theater, a theater like daily bread is the slogan of the network of Straw Theaters in the Company adheres initiative impromptu theaters made of bales of straw or hay, but ephemeral nutrients, fully integrated to the landscape.

And the landscapes that will hatch will arrive as soon as we are lovely.

You can participate in our festival comfortably seated on the steps of a greek amphitheater built with 200 bales of hay in a beautiful golden field, and from dusk dusk will attend theatrical performances, dance performances and concerts.

First, in the afternoon, we will forward grassy paths through woods and hills to title some majestic old oaks to poets who deserve recognition. We will read fragments of their works under thick foliage of the trees, which baptize together. Saturday afternoon also listen to Renaissance music for lute and guitar in a grove dedicated to Ludovico Ariosto.

Those who spend the night with us, lunch and dinner, can enjoy excellent breakfasts and delicious lunches (we love and attention to the products of our land, fresh and genuine) inspired by literary texts, listen to author readings, receive the gift of poetry. Ore 17.00, spazio Anna Maria Ortese: Donatella Natoli presenta il libro di Angela Lanza “La storia di uno è la storia di tutti”, Jacobelli editore, Vincitore del Premio “Progetto La ragazza di Benin City 2015”. In questo libro l’autrice narra l’incontro con gli sbarcati a Lampedusa e con gli isolani; in particolare, intervista la psichiatra Enza Malatino che se ne prende cura da oltre 15 anni. Il libro parte dal 2003 per arrivare alla strage del 3 ottobre del 2013. Un capitolo a parte è dedicato alle migranti, quasi impossibili da intervistare, ammutolite da un dolore indicibile. Il racconto è animato da una fiducia incrollabile nel potere terapeutico della parola autobiografica, della solidarietà e della narrazione condivisa.

17.30, Eugenio Montale space: "Antigone for words and stones", -lab tale for adults and kids (ages 8 and up), with Simona Sick.

In the "Tale" the narrator tells the story of Antigone as performing a ritual, accompanied by a text by use of stones-character and a gestural score sets. During the "Workshop" adults remain in place while the young spectators, if any, are invited to come closer to reason with the narrator, and use the stones to tell how and in what part of them fled the tragedy of this great history, to undertake to report to the world of the human gesture made by Antigone.

At 19.00, quiet aperitif among the bales of hay.

Ore 19.30- 20.30, al Teatro di Fieno: “Kore e Ade, ovvero d’acqua e di fuoco, d’amore e di morte”, del gruppo di ricerca TrizziRiDonna. Con Barbara Crescimanno, narrazione, canto, tamburi a cornice e piccole percussioni; Marco Tarantino, chitarra;Viviana Di Bella, voce, aiuto-coro; Ambra Cannavò, voce, aiuto-coro.

The representation proposes a Siceliot variant of Kore myth and Demeter in which the two Dee intertwine their stories with some female sacred presences that emerge between the cavities of the rock, arise on the mountain tops, sink between the roots of the plants: the nymphs. Participants will be actively involved in vocal and percussive games that will create the soundtrack of the story, giving the theater its function of ritual and community game, no separation between artist and audience.

Hours 20:45 to 21:45, at the Theater of Hay: "Danlenuàr", a theatrical monologue by and with Giacomo Guarneri.
A long love letter to a prisoner miner bowels of the earth during the mining disaster in Marcinelle (Belgium, 1956), imagines to send to his wife, recalling their long epistolary relationship. The text won the Prix Enrico Maria Salerno for Drama in 2008 and the literary prizes "Laps of words" 2009, and "Clock Tower" in 2010.

While guests enjoy the literary food, Leonora Cupane and Paola Maria Di Martino read excerpts of works and Stone Gabriele performs songs on guitar and lute.

Hours 10:30 to 13:00, in the surroundings of Oak Quasimodo: "Memory is providing you a brief sleep," writing workshop organized by Leonora Cupane. The autobiographical writings of the participants will draw inspiration from the verses of Salvatore Quasimodo particularly evocative power, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the poet.

13.30: Buffet lunch under the pines.

16.00 - 17.00 under the pines: laboratory caviardage (a particular form of visual poetry based on the deletion of words from a prose text) by Leonora Cupane. Those who choose this formula will be accepted only from 18.45 onwards and will be invited to sit directly to the hay theater, which is located in a field that is accessed from the driveway. Shortly before the start of the performances will be offered to each country aperitifs: red or white wine or sangria accompanied by bread, fresh cottage cheese, cheese, olives, dried tomatoes, vegetable flan and grilled vegetables. The evening includes a cocktail, the two performances at the theater of hay and dinner, but we expect rates with or without a drink and dinner.
